Keep your MultiValue systems alive and thriving.
A home for the distributors who run MIS, SHIMS, and the other MultiValue systems (D3, jBASE, UniVerse, UniData, OpenQM) behind the distribution world. Reference, community, and the annual user group meeting.
MUG + SHIMS 2026
The annual MultiValue user group meeting
Once a year, the whole MultiValue world is in one room.
MUG + SHIMS 2026 brings together the distributors, IT teams, and vendors who keep MIS, SHIMS, and MultiValue running. Three days of vendor roadmaps, candid user roundtables, and the relationships that get you unstuck the other 362 days of the year, in New Orleans, LA.
Vendor sessions that matter
Roadmaps and live demos from the vendors who actually build for your platform, not a trade-show floor of tangential pitches.
Candid user roundtables
Open rooms where MIS and SHIMS users compare notes on the same problems you are solving, the part attendees rate highest every year.
MIS and SHIMS, together
Dedicated time for both user groups plus the crossover sessions where the best ideas surface, all under one roof since 2025.
The people, in person
Put faces to the names you have emailed for years, over dinner in the French Quarter. The connections outlast the sessions.
The database that quietly runs distribution.
MultiValue is a post-relational (NoSQL) database model born from the Pick system in the 1960s. Unlike relational tables, a single field can hold many values, so an entire order, with all its line items, lives in one record. Lean, fast, and famously durable, it has quietly run wholesale distribution and ERP software for decades.
The platforms in this family include Rocket D3, jBASE, UniVerse, UniData, OpenQM, and MVsharp. The distributors, IT teams, and vendors who keep them running are this community, and once a year many of them gather at the MUG + SHIMS meeting.
D3Codex
Every TCL command, PickBASIC/FlashBASIC function, and AQL modifier from the D3 reference manual, rebuilt into a fast, searchable, cross-linked site.
